The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 came into force in December 1999 and require all employers who employ one or more people to undertake a written fire risk assessment of their premises. Adrian Sutton attended a formal training course, scanned the guidance notes and templates provided on the course, had them printed and supplied all commercial clients with a folder containing the 60 page document at the time of the subsequent renewal review at no charge. Some simple businesses were given a 10 minute talk through the material, larger workplaces were given a more detailed briefing with addition HSE material, lasting up to 2 hours, still at no charge. This template has been revised to take into account the further requirement of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
